While I love to teach, I also love that the teaching schedule allows me to spend extra time with my son in the summer. It just doesn't get any better than that! It's hard to believe, but my little one is not so little any more. He has officially graduated from preschool and is going to be a Kg at my school this fall. Hooray! We are both SOOO excited! That said, I want to make this our most memorable summer yet.The summer fun began yesterday with a trip to the annual Renaissance Festival. We saw Robinhood, sword fighting, and a real jousting tournament! Carter LOVED it! I hope to take him back next year when it's not quite as hot and we can last a little longer.
The fun continued today with our first trip to the pool...whew, it was cold! But, when it's 92 degrees out, you can't complain about cold water. :) My favorite moment of the day was when Carter said, "Hey Mommy, let's gather up all the water!" and proceeded to attempt to sweep the water with his hands to one side of the pool. Oh how he makes me laugh! :)
Here are some pics from our most recent adventures...we're also looking forward to a trip to the beach next week with Mimi, Don-Don, Adaline & Ally...should be many fun memories to share...and plenty more laughs as well.
